SLEEPLESS SHE

SLEEPLESS SHE

Come to see… ‘how things are today’
This dark sky used to be a sunny day
The hand-lines go from north to south
Waste that water to deny this drought

Sleepless tonight, caught in headlights
Diet the stress; while lost to the frights

Can you see the tears? – Or the fears?
Nothing is clear… without man’s piers
To the desert, the mirage gave her boat
But she can’t swim and rocks can’t float

Sleepless tonight, caught in headlights
Diet the stress; while lost to the frights

Imagine… The sensation of the scene
She has felt it… ‘when she saw the sea’
A deep light in her eyes resembled war
From a moon that won’t shine anymore
