A PROMISE LAND

A PROMISE LAND

And we came to live in (a) promised land
Which is no longer an oasis once planned
Now, identified by its twig colourful scars
By the big tattooed walls & cool sidebars

Injustice is done in this (sand-less desert)
To ‘every day of greed’ comes [a new sect]
The big lack of hope: shuts up and accept
Act! Explore! Pick the toys up off the floor

The big threat is no longer: nuclear attack
Is the politics of the land… a blessed pack
Is the instinct of destruction. Doom storm
That, shapes the world in its present form
